What my beloved NYU Stern community means to me

I’m as proud to be a Stern MBA as I am of anything I’ve accomplished professionally in my life. In 2012, I made the (admittedly ambitious) decision to attend NYU Stern’s evening MBA program, despite running my own brokerage and having a two-year old at home at the time. The reasons were threefold: (a) I wanted to learn more about the overall business world to feel more aligned with many of my clients; (b) I wanted to be the best leader I could be, something that’s always been very important to me; and (c) I wanted exposure to the best of networks, one that would be mutually beneficial for life.

Well, all those things came true and then some. Due in large part to my experience at Stern, my brokerage Skygroup Realty had multiple exceedingly successful years, leading to a merger with Warburg Realty in June 2015 and, eventually, a tremendous offer to join my current home at Douglas Elliman, where I’ve worked since March 2018. I’ve worked with countless sellers and buyers from Stern by now (I do love to see “stern.nyu.edu” pop up in my inbox!) and I’m now an Advisory Board Member of the NYU Stern Center for Real Estate. I’ve also spoken at NYU panels and symposiums, and I’ve hosted/sponsored multiple events and mixers for Sternies and faculty at our offices. I count myself as indescribably fortunate to have been a member of NYU’s community and, in addition to future and past events/clients, I’m beyond excited to continue assisting my fellow alumnae, faculty students…and their friends and families! I can promise you one thing—you won’t find a more dedicated ally in your real estate adventures than your fellow Sternie!
